Keep Your Family Strong & Healthy

home fengshui
Kitchen and stove are important considerations when assessing home feng shui, especially since they directly impact the health of the family. Setting the stove requires meticulous selection of location, date and time. The ideal situation is to have the kitchen and stove located in inauspicious sectors (to suppress) while facing (to receive) auspicious directions.

Conflict between Water and Fire

There should be no water pipes or drain under the stove, as this will create a Water-Fire conflict. The wife may suffer from gynecological diseases and other family members may experience digestive problems. To protect the family’s health, you can place bricks or red tiles on the water pipes or drain. Red belongs to the Fire element and brick is of the Earth element, both of which are best at negating Water.

Sharp Objects Affect Relationships

Avoid placing sharp objects like knives below the stove, as this is detrimental to the couple’s relationship. There could be more squabbles and chances of violence will increase too. A greasy and dirty stove is also undesirable. The stove should always be kept clean because it reflects the female owner’s image and plays a part in maintaining harmonious spousal relationship.

Between Wall and Window

It is best to have the stove leaning against the wall, which acts as a backing. The absence of a backing is disadvantageous to the family’s finances and could cause discord between the couple. If the stove leans against a window that receives inauspicious forces from the exterior, spousal relationship will be affected and might even result in divorce in the worst case. It is highly recommended to relocate the stove or shut the window for good.

One Stove is Enough

Every kitchen should only have one stove. As the stove represents the female owner, having more than one will cause bickering amongst females in the household and may give rise to opportunities for extramarital relationships.

The Stove Should Not

  • Lie beneath a beam, water pipes or toilet on the second floor.
  • Face a pillar, as it will cast a negative impact on the female owner’s health.
  • Face the toilet, as dampness from the toilet is in conflict with the stove.
  • Have rubbish beneath, as this is bad for the female owner’s health.
